1. Before starting the mill, leather wrist guards must be worn, and masks must be worn during mixing operations. Absolutely avoid wearing ropes, belts, rubber bands, etc. around the waist, and strictly prohibit operating while wearing loose clothing. Carefully check for any foreign objects between the large and small gears and rollers.
2. Before each start-up, the emergency brake must be pulled to check if the braking is sensitive and reliable (lever emergency stop and emergency reverse emergency stop device. The reverse device can be set to 0-5 seconds, generally set to 1-2 seconds (there is a time delay switch inside the machine that can be adjusted). This is to prevent irreparable damage to the machine and serious personal injury in case of emergencies during operation. This operation is applicable to emergency situations where foreign objects fall into the roller). During normal operation, the emergency brake must not be used to stop the machine. If more than two people are operating together, they must coordinate with each other. After confirming that the open mill is free of any danger, the roll gap must be adjusted to maintain balance. Uneven adjustment of the roll gap at both ends will cause roller imbalance, easily damaging the equipment, which is strictly prohibited.
3. Control the heating rate. Especially in the cold northern winter, when the external temperature of the roller is consistent with the room temperature, if high-temperature steam is suddenly introduced into the roller, the temperature difference between the inside and outside may exceed 120℃. The temperature difference can cause roller stress to reach 130.0~150.0 MPa, which exceeds the U.1=140.0 MPa of cast iron. If the rubber material is added too early, under the combined action of horizontal pressure, the roller is very easily damaged. For safety reasons, the machine should be preheated without load, and the heating rate should be controlled at 1~2℃/min. This regulation is very difficult to implement and needs to be emphasized to the operators.
4. The rubber material should also be inspected before feeding. If hard metal foreign objects are mixed in and fed into the mill, the horizontal pressure will suddenly increase, directly causing equipment damage. Or if the operator's cutter falls into the roller during the experiment, there is a special protective device here. The operator uses their knee to push the control door (there is a sticker on the machine indicating this). As mentioned before, this point is repeatedly emphasized. Open mill note: When feeding, add a small amount at a time. If the material is very hard, it may cause the machine to burn out.
